The theme, “Birthing Black Community”, reminds us how Black women and birth-givers shape & nurture community and calls us all to be part of a community of support and resistance to fight against the injustices we face.

This year’s Summit will be held on Friday, June 23 and Saturday June 24, 2023 at Huston-Tillotson University, the home of our original Black Mamas Community Collective Summit on March 27, 2018 that launched this organization. Our event will last two (2) days with the first day focused on healthcare professionals and birth workers and the second day centers community, families and youth.

As has been the tradition, this Summit centers the experiences, voices and needs of Black women and birth-givers.

This is how we thrive:

Center the most impacted.

Learn from the most impacted.

Because co-creating a healthy environment that works for the most impacted ensures that it works for everyone.
