Legacy Giving via Will and Living Trust

When writing your Will, please include Black Mamas ATX and your legacy will continue after your lifetime. No charitable gifts can be made from your estate without a stated designation through a will. To do so, please use the following bequest language:

“I, [name], give, devise and bequeath to Black Mamas ATX, the sum of [$ ______ or ____ % of my estate].”

Life Insurance, Retirement Plans

Not everyone wants to commit to making a gift in their wills or estates. Some prefer the increased flexibility that a beneficiary designation provides by using:

  • IRAs and retirement plans
  • Life insurance policies
  • Commercial annuities

It only takes three simple steps to make this type of gift. Here’s how to name Black Mamas ATX as a beneficiary:

  1. Contact your retirement plan administrator, insurance company, bank or financial institution for a change-of-beneficiary form.
  2. Decide what percentage (1 to 100) you would like us to receive and name us, along with the percentage you chose, on the beneficiary form.
  3. Return the completed form to your plan administrator, insurance company, bank or financial institution.

Black Mamas ATX cannot provide direct legal or financial advice related to planned giving, and advises all individuals to seek independent counsel from qualified estate planning attorneys and wealth managers before making a decision on a planned gift.
