The Black Mamas Community Collective will be speaking with Women’s Health Caucus members on October 8th, 10 am-11:30 am at the state legislative briefing. Topics of discussion include black maternal health and the disproportionate impact of maternal mortality of black women. Joyce James, a member of our Black Mamas Community Collective, will be participating in the briefing alongside Nakeenya Wilson and La’Toya Swan who will share their own birth experiences.
