Did you know there is a nationally recognized week JUST for the feeding of our beautiful Black children?

The 6th Annual Black Breastfeeding Week is a celebration of sustaining our families and nourishing our futures. The week’s theme is “Love on Top”. The goal for this year’s campaign is to emphasize the importance of love in breastfeeding and using love to unify our families. This year, we invite you, your family, and your community to take on this challenge!

We all know that the road to motherhood is a difficult adventure, but love should be the center of it all.

“We love because it’s the only true adventure.”
-Langston Hughes

Black Breastfeeding Week was made to spread the awareness of the racial disparity in breastfeeding rates. According to the CDC, for over 40 years, data proves that 75% of white women breastfeed their children versus 58.9% of black women.
