Groundwater Analysis Intensive Training

Description of Groundwater Analysis Workshop

The Groundwater Analysis Intensive Training is a 3-hour shortened version of the one-day/two-day Groundwater Analysis Workshop provided by Joyce James Consulting. It’s a great opportunity to learn foundational knowledge for recognizing and navigating systemic and institutional racism. It is an interactive, revolutionary exploration into how systems of racism work.

The Groundwater Analysis workshop is designed to increase the level of consciousness and awareness of well-meaning and well -intentioned leaders in regard to the impact of institutional and structural racism on communities of color. It is designed to strengthen and transform systems and community-based organizations to better respond to the needs of their client populations.  The workshop utilizes the Joyce James Groundwater Model as a basis for analyzing racial inequities that exist and intersect across systems such as healthcare, housing, education, law enforcement, financial services, juvenile justice, criminal justice, child welfare, and employment. The outcomes of services in these systems disproportionately impact poor communities and communities of color in ways that previously may not have been considered. The workshop is designed to promote a clearer understanding of the role of leadership in systems and institutions in working together to understand the history of institutional and structural racism to strengthen both staff performance and programmatic success in reducing and ultimately eliminating racial inequities.
