Our Sister Doulas recently attended a training session in Dallas for doulas to help them master the skills of their trade.

They learned about issues that occur late in pregnancies, the anatomy of pregnancy, medical intervention, establishing support teams, creating birth plans, aspects of cesarean deliveries, postpartum care, breastfeeding techniques, hospital protocols, SIDS and how to reduce infant mortality.

The Sister Doulas of the Black Mamas Community Collective are serious about being able to provide the highest level of care to their expecting families and attending training session like this one help them develop the skills needed.

Great work ladies!
